This collection of paintings is a reflection of my summer in New England. It captures some special details including trips to Maine, hydrangeas blooming in my parents’ backyard, fresh tomatoes from my garden, homemade jam, my favorite hunter boots, and a boat trip in Newport.

I also practiced loosening my brush strokes, reminding myself that creating a work of art is not about replicating a reference exactly, but translating an image in my own unique way. I hope you enjoy seeing my brush strokes and viewing these paintings!
